Most people will tell you I have an understated, reserved personality, quite the opposite from the characters I create. I don’t think this is unheard of in the creative world. Agatha Christie was a mild mannered, very proper Englishwoman who created some of the most ghastly and mind boggling murders in the pages of her mystery novels. I however gravitate towards the wacky and comical side of things when I’m in a story telling mood. There’s nothing like getting a good belly laugh out of the reader. The funny thing is my propensity for entertaining people in this way is pretty much what I’ve been doing all my life; at least since grade school. Maybe I’m a case of arrested development.
